We’ve seen her a few times now… wandering by…I call her the ‘ghost’.
Her coat is very light, almost ethereal, her color blends well with the tan, tall grasses of the fields.
This morning, before the sunlight touches the earth, I see them. Playing, running, pouncing, jumping, and playing some more on the hillside across the way…All with black tipped tails.
Oh! Yes! This explains so many questions I’ve had about her and the raggedness…There they are, I count them…EIGHT teenage coyote puppies. Wow. Amazing. I was fortunate to capture this photo of one of the eight abundantly energetic teenage pups. They all look healthy and beautiful.
I’ve watched coyote mothers before and they are world champions, in my opinion, for keeping up with their highly energetic teenage puppies.. SUPER WORLD CHAMPIONS… This one is unusual to have eight teenagers in tow for hunts or a full house of puppy play even after a long day of hunting..
Little wonder her coat is ragged and her tail fur chewed off… She seems to have no point of view about any of this…her body gifts and creates to the earth as only she can do and she receives with ease all the abundance the earth provides for her and her young…How does it get any better than that ?
